The 3 Steps to a Deeper, More Blessed Life

The 3 Steps to a Deeper, More Blessed Life

This devotional journal will help you sit at Jesus' feet.

Friend, have you ever wondered why “blessed” can feel so far away when life gets messy? I know what it’s like to see those words everywhere—on mugs, on sweaters, on cute signs—but underneath, your heart aches for peace that lasts longer than a moment and a purpose that doesn’t flicker when things get hard.

Maybe you’re right in the thick of disappointment or just plain worn out, asking quietly: Is it possible to live with steady joy, even here? Even now?

I want to offer you some gentle hope. What if blessing isn’t wrapped up in our achievements or a picture-perfect life, but blooms right in the middle of our ordinary, sometimes broken days? What if Jesus already showed us the way—with words that have power to heal and guide even the weariest soul?

The Sermon on the Mount, tucked in Matthew 5–7, isn’t just a list of good ideas. It’s Jesus inviting us to sit down, listen closely, and learn what it means to live as daughters deeply loved by God. It’s in these chapters that we find our way back to hope, to meaning, and to an unshakable kind of joy.

You’re Invited to Draw Near

I created The Blessed Life: Devotional Journal Through the Teachings of Matthew because I know how hard it can be to slow down and really listen for God’s voice. Maybe, like me, you want a guide—something gentle but steady—to walk with you, day by day, into Jesus’ words.

This journal isn’t just another thing to check off. It’s a companion for 24 days, inviting you to pause, breathe, and let scripture seep into the aches and questions you carry. Each day welcomes you into the Sermon on the Mount—not as an outsider, but as someone Jesus is inviting close. It’s an invitation to be honest, to explore, and to let Him do the changing.

Finding Faith and Hope in Real Life

I’ve had times where I wondered if my faith was growing at all, or if I was just going through the motions. Maybe you get that. Maybe you’re searching for direction, or just want to feel God’s presence as close as breath.

This journal is for those tender places. You’ll find:

  • Daily Scriptures from Matthew 5–7—enough to slow you down and anchor your heart
  • Reflective Prompts—simple, open-ended questions to help you bring your real self to God and see your life through His eyes
  • Room to Write and Pray—a safe space for messy feelings and honest prayers, not just “right” answers

My prayer for you as you turn these pages is that you’ll sense God’s nearness. Let these questions nudge you to look for Him in your daily life. Let your quiet moments here turn into gentle courage for the harder moments out there.

The Blessed Life

Starting Where You Are

I know we all have different rhythms and preferences. That’s why The Blessed Life comes in both print and digital versions.

If you love the feel of pen and paper, the print edition is for you—it’s made to be marked up, scribbled in, and cherished. You can have it delivered straight to your door through Amazon*.

If you need something right now, the digital version is also available for you. Download it, open it up, and let the journey begin today.

Whichever format you choose, my hope is that this journal helps you trade striving for trust, insecurity for belonging, and confusion for clarity rooted in God’s truth.

Will you pull up a chair with me at Jesus’ feet and discover how blessing grows, even here? You’re not alone. Let’s walk this path together and see what God has for you, one day at a time.

Love always,

Crystal
